Provincial Church Service and Provincial Priory meeting for North and East Yorkshire

On Saturday 12th of November 2022 at Selby Abbey in Yorkshire the Provincial Church service and Provincial Priory meeting for North and East Yorkshire was held.

Selby Abbey

Visiting Selby was R.E.Kt. David Jordan, E.Kt. Dennis Dean along with E.Kt. Norman Playford and E.Kt. Eddie Senior. This splendid Abbey starting being constructed shortly after the Norman conquest in 1066 and now hosts the Knights Templar annual Provincial Priory meeting. The Provincial Prior Timothy Grant Dillon presided over the Provincial church service with many ladies accompanying their husbands and partners in singing Hymns and Prayers.

After the Service the ladies departed to be given an interesting talk in the near by Selby Masonic hall. The Provincial Priory meeting was then opened and the Provincial Prior conducted the business of the Priory, investing his active officers with large collar jewels and his Bodyguard with collarets.

Afterwards the Members and guests of the Province retired to the Parsonage Hotel and Spa for a welcoming drink and wonderful banquet.
