West Yorkshire Provincial Priory Meeting

On 15th of October 2022 in Leeds’s Castle Grove Freemasons hall. The Provincial Prior R.E.Kt. David Jordan and the Provincial Vice-Chancellor Dennis Dean attended and represented Kent at the West Yorkshire Provincial Priory meeting.

The Provincial meeting was presided over by R.E.Kt. Hearl R. Lenton and 24 Preceptory banners where paraded one by one and formed an impressive display as 9 of those Preceptories are older than our own oldest Preceptory Black Prince No.146. The oldest was consecrated in 1792 the Plains of Rama Preceptory No.3. which meets in Keithley.

The Provincial Prior presented Provincial Officers Collar Jewels to each of his active officers and a Provincial Prior’s bodyguard Collarets’ to newly appointed Bodyguard members. Each Bodyguard member then swear allegiance to the Provincial Prior and salute the Sword of the Bodyguard Commander.

A fine refectory was enjoyed by all with good Yorkshire Steak and Ale pie on offer.
