The Nottinghamshire Provincial Priory meeting was held on the 14th of October 2022 in Nottingham’s Freemasons hall.

Unfortunately the electricity supply was off when everyone arrived and had been disconnected since early in the morning. The center was only lighted by emergency lighting and the odd positioned candle. The Grand temple was dimly illuminated by a number of battery operated candles at the Alter and Sepulture. The visiting Distinguish Knights changed into their regalia by their mobile phone light and enjoyed bottled soft drinks and biscuits from the bar.

buffer The Provincial Priory meeting commenced on time in the dim light and thankfully during the welcoming of the distinguished guests the electric supply resumed. Too much cheering by all present. Even in the dim light and under much duress all the business of the Province was conducted in a most professional manner by the Provincial Prior R.E.Kt. David James Crossley and his Provincial Vice-Chancellor E.Kt. Colin Bainbridge.

However because of the power supply being off in the morning the planned hot meal wasn’t able to be cooked and a cold meat salad was hastily arranged and under the circumstances was very well received.
