Knights of the Round Table
At the Hall of Chivalry in Tintagel, Cornwall a number of Kent Knights visited the Provincial Priory of Devon and Cornwall on the 12th October 2024.

The Kent Knights enjoyed the knightly surroundings of the Great Hall with many banners depicting coats of arms, with the magnificent granite Provincial Priors chair, below a Excalibur sword thrush into an iron anvil as well as the mythical Arthurian round table bearing the Alter cross and Holy Gospels of the Order.The Provincial Priors Chair

The Knights of Kent visiting were E.Kt. Pieter Jan Swinge, V.E.Kt. John McCully, V.E.Kt. Dennis Dean and E.Kt. David Cantlon who before the meeting enjoyed a Cornish breakfast in a traditional Cornish tea rooms by the fire.

The Provincial Priory was duly opened by the Provincial Prior R.E.Kt. Frederick Richard Thomas and after greeting his distinguished guests he sincerely installed his new Sub Prior E.Kt. A. Yelland and his Provincial officers.E.Kt. Cantlon, E.Kt. Swinge & V.E.Kt Dean
The new Sub Prior retired from the Provincial Priory during the alms collection and returned dressed in the garb of the Provincial Sub Prior of Malta and proceeded to open a Provincial Priory of Malta and he then invested his Provincial Malta officers for the insuring year.
The Knights present all retired after the closing and reconvened at the beautiful Bowood Golf Club for the refectory
