Provincial Seminar for Marshals, Treasurers, Almoners and Registrars

The Provincial Priory of Kent held a multi subject Seminar on the 31st of August 2024 at the Dartford Masonic Centre hosted by the Provincial Prior R.E.Kt. David Jordan with forty Knights in attendance.

The seminar began by welcoming everyone with tea, coffee and biscuits in the bar area with the Provincial Executive mingling with the assembled knights.

The Provincial Marshal E.Kt. Kelvin Gane invited everyone to take a seat in the dining room where the speakers had prepared their presentations. The Provincial Prior welcomed the audience and thanked them for attending and explained the purpose of the Joint multi purpose Seminar.

V.E.Kt. Dennis Dean introduced each speaker and started the event with the Marshals Handbook Seminar by E.Kt. Kelvin Gane who gave a detailed explanation of use and role the Marshal’s handbook is to be used in the Preceptory. The next speaker up was Provincial Treasurer E.Kt Graham Higgs giving his precise Preceptory Treasurer Seminar then followed by The Provincial Almoner E.Kt. Brett Portman who delivered an interesting and will received Seminar of the role of Preceptory Almoner. Lastly the Provincial Vice-Chancellor V.E.Kt. Dennis Dean handed out a booklet of forms to each Registrar and then explained his Registrar’s Seminar, detailing how to fill in the relevent forms. The seminar was closed with a short appraisal of the Provincial Priory of Kent website.

R.E.Kt. David Jordan closed the Joint Seminar and thanked everyone including the speakers for their participation of the event.
