Squiggle The Provincial Priory of Kent

On Saturday 6th of July 2024 at the Provincial Priory of Kent in Bromley the Provincial Prior R.E.Kt. David Jordan presided over a packed meeting of one hundred and ninety Knights from all over the Province and country.

The Car park was efficiently manned from the early hours by the West Kent Preceptory No.371 under the supervision of E.Kt. Woolcott. All the guests of the Province were greeted by E.Kt Estorffe and E.Kt. Linton by the main entrance and guided to E.Kt. Gray and Kt. Dixon for their envelopes. All Knights and guests then enjoyed the tea, coffee, biscuits and bacon rolls laid on by the caterer.

The assembled Knights gathered in the Temple to see the processions enter the Provincial Priory ending with the Provincial Prior and his officers. R.E.Kt. David Jordan open the Chapter and welcomed the distinguished visitors and heads of the Orders in Kent.

A requiem was held in memory of the eight Knights which had fallen in the past year. The Provincial Prior appointed all his new officers and then appointed his bodyguard. Awards of merit were presented to E.Kts Pritchard, fountain and Hiscock.

After the meeting one hundred and fifty two Knights attended the refectory and enjoyed a splendid three meat salad with all the trimmings.
