The Staffordshire and Shropshire Provincial Priory meeting

At the Staffordshire and Shropshire Provincial Priory meeting at Staffordshire Show Ground Stafford on the 10th of June 2024. R.E.Kt David W. Philips opened the meeting after being paraded in under the arch of steel of the Provincial Prior’s bodyguard.

The Provincial Prior welcomed the distinguish visiting Knights from various Provinces including Kent’s visiting Knights R.E.Kt. David Jordan, E.Kt. Pieter Jan Swinge and V.E.Kt. Dennis Dean.

We witnessed a very different Provincial Meeting with some interesting variants on the normal proceedings. This included a separate Knights of Malta procession with the Provincial Sub Prior leading the Procession and the Standards of Malta being paraded into the meeting along with a Malta representative from each Priory of the Province. The Provincial Prelate was paraded into the meeting with a Crucifix bearer and acolyte bearing the Alter Candle sticks.

The Knights from Kent enjoyed the meeting and refectory afterwards.
