The Provincial Priory meeting of the Province of Durham

At the Provincial Priory meeting of the Province of Durham at Gateshead Masonic Centre the Provincial Prior R.E.Kt Richard George Scott welcomed a plethora of Distinguished Knights from all over Country including six Knights from Kent, lead by our Provincial Prior R.E.Kt David Jordan, E.Kt.Swinge, V.E.Kt. McCully, E.Kt. Dean, E.Kt. Senior and E.Kt. Playford.

The Representative of the St. John of Jerusalem Eye Hospital E.Kt. Jamie Ingham-Clark was there to see the fantastic progress the Durham Provincial Priory Eye Hospital £100K fund target. The Provincial Prior reported they were well on target with £90k raised so far and report the Grand Master was attending the Durham Cathedral end of fund raising meeting next year.

There was the highest number of Knights dining in any Provincial Priory meeting, at one hundred and sixty nine, that I have had the pleasure to attend. We all had an excellent four course meal well and were well fed for our long journey home.
