Sunday Carvery in aid of the Ellenor Hospice
At Tovil Masonic Centre on the 21st of January 2024 the Provincial Priory of Kent and the Boxley Abbey Preceptory No.402 held a Knights Templar Sunday Carvery in aid of the Ellenor Hospice in Gravesend Kent.
R.E.Kt. David Jordan welcome all eighty four Knights, Ladies and Gentleman to the event and explained from the middle of the dining floor the splendid array of Masonic Knight Templar regalia on view. Twenty four Preceptory banner prints were mounted on one of the walls for the diners to view while queuing for their meat carvery and during the event a continuous slide show was delivered by projector of interesting images of Knights Templar in battle scenes.

When the more than impressive three meat carvery was served, two members of Boxley Abbey Preceptory namely E.Kt. Maurice Stanford and Kt. Geoffrey Dixon proceeded to sell raffle tickets to raise much need fund for the patients at the Ellenor Hospice. Those enterprising Knights sold £650 worth of raffle tickets and the Provincial Priory of Kent and the Knights beneficent of the Holy City Lodge Cantwara donated £100 each taking the total for the event to £850.R.E.Kt. David thanked everyone for attending and donating the amazing amount of raffle prizes and sincerely thanked everyone for their generous purchasing of said tickets to raise such a fantastic amount.
