The 2023 Provincial Church Service

On Sunday 10th of December 2023 at the St. James the Great Church, East Malling, Kent, the Provincial Priory of Kent held its annual Provincial Church Service.

The Choir from the Church preformed for us for the very first time to enhance the singing of the Christmas Carols along with the hundred and twenty five strong Congregation of Knights and their families. The Provincial Prior, R.E.Kt. David Jordan welcomed everyone to this very special event in the Knights Templar calendar and wished everyone a happy Christmas and New Year.

The service was delivered by the Provincial Prelate E.Kt. Howard Pashley and gave everyone a interesting sermon based on the readings by the Provincial Prior and Sub Prior. The Provincial Prior’s bodyguard fielded twenty knights in full regalia to give an impressive Arch of Steel for the Provincial Prior and his active officers to parade into the Church.

After the service a splendid buffet was laid out for all to enjoy with tea served by the friends of the Church.
