The 2023 Provincial Priory of KentProvincial Priory of Kent was held on the 1st of July 2023 at Oakley House Masonic Centre Bromley Kent.
The Provincial Prior R.E.Kt. David Jordan greeted and welcomed R.E.Kt. Timothy Wheeler G.C.T. and six other Knight Commanders of the Temple accompanied by twelve other Provincial Prior’s along with fifty Distinguished Knights from Provinces all around the country and one Eminent Knight from Cyprus, well supported by one hundred and fifty Knights from the Province of Kent.
The Provincial Prior presided over a well-packed Temple and invested and appointed his new active and past Provincial Officers. A Provincial Prior’s award of merit was presented to V.E.Kt John Bonomy P.Gt. 1st Con for his valuable and distinguished service for Knights Templar in Kent.
The Provincial Prior’s bodyguard performed very well, there were sixteen members of the Bodyguard on parade to be presented to the Provincial Prior for appointment. Everyone commented on what a fine job they preformed. The Provincial Marshall E.Kt. Gane and his deputy Marshall E.Kt. Lines ran the meeting like a military tattoo all timed and in precise sequence.
One hundred and sixty six knights enjoyed the Festive board afterwards with a seasonal three meat salad with lots of side dishes. The Provincial Prior finished the celebrations by thanking everyone for attending and wished all good health and a safe journey home.
