The April Meeting of St. Vincent’s Priory

At St. Vincent’s Priory meeting on the 11th of April 2023 at Tunbridge Wells Masonic hall a large number of Knights attended to witness the Eminent Prior E.Kt. Ruz Rumjahn install Kt. Stephen Lee as a Knight of Malta. The Eminent Prior preformed the ceremony in an excellent manner and the Provincial Prior R.E.Kt. David Jordan gave the accolade to the candidate and the Provincial Sub Prior E.Kt.

Pieter Jan Swinge presented the Malta jewel of the degree. The Priory Treasurer E.Kt. Anthony Ellis acting as the Deputy Mareschel delivered the address to the banners presented to candidate by the Provincial Prior’s bodyguard and E.Kt. Ellis gave the address to the standards of Malta, the approach of the Knights and lastly the explanation of the Pentagonal table, all in an explanatory manner.


Sub Prior, Provincial Prior, Kt. Lee and Eminent Prior

The Eminent Prior E.Kt. Rumjahn finished off the lectures by delivering the explanation of the Octagonal Table. The whole ceremony was performed by members of the St. Vincent’s Priory and the Provincial Prior praised the Priory for putting on the event for the first time for many years.

The Provincial Prior then open a Provincial Priory of Malta and invested a number of Provincial Officers with their Provincial Knights of Malta rank.

The Refectory afterwards was a superb meal of Roast beef and Yorkshire pudding, which was very well received by the guests and visitors present.
