Knights Templar History and Armour Demonstration at Lord Harris Preceptory

Lord Harris Preceptory No.475 held a Knights Templar history and armour demonstration Lecture at their regular meeting on the 15th of February 2023 with twenty one knights in attendance.

E.Kt. Mal Argent of the Thanet Preceptory No.401 entered the temple as a fully dressed and armed Knight Templar, wearing chain mail over a padded gambeson and carrying a two handed sword Templar sword in his hand, with a great Helm on his head. E.Kt. Mal then gave a very interesting account of the origins of the Knights Templar in Jerusalem.

He further explained the different sizes of Templar swords demonstrating how Knights fought on horseback and in a charge. The assembled Knights gave E.Kt. Mal an enthusiast round of applause for his very well researched and presented lecture.
