The Annual Kent Provincial Knight Templar Church Service

On Sunday 15th April 2018 the Kent Provincial Knight Templar, Annual Church Service was held at The Church of St. James the Great at East Malling. The service was well attended by the Provincial team, supported by the Knights their families and friends. The Service was led by our Provincial Prelate, Howard Pashley and music was provided by the Provincial Organist Kevin Johnson. The ceremonial was conducted by the Provincial Marshal ably assisted by the Bodyguard. Following the Service food and refreshments were provided and was enjoyed by all.

Kt Bodyguard at Church Service 2018

The Church proved to be a very suitable venue for our needs with ample seating and space for our ceremonial. There was also parking facilities for vehicles nearby . It is hoped that more Knights and their families will attend the next Annual Service.

Thanks to Father Nick Williams and his supporters for being so amenable to our requirements. Also thanks to our Sub Prior Terry Tanner for making the arrangements.

Being made up of Ladies, Guests, Children and Knights of the Province. Everyone, who attended, found the church to be very suitable to our needs in respect of size, seating, parking, refreshments and all our other aspects. And proved a much better venue than the Chatham Maritime Centre last year. Also the Vicar, Father Nick Williams and his supporters, were very amenable to our requirements, which did not clash in any way.

The food and refreshments provided were to a very high standard and there was plenty of it. And a good time was had by all. In fact the total cost for everything ,was half that of last year.

Thereby, our next Church Service will take place on Sunday 7th April 2019 -avoiding past conflicts with Easter and Mothering Sunday.

For those who did not attend, please find photographs and a brief description of the church in the 'New venue for the Annual Kent Provincial Knight Templar Church Service' news item.

Yours in the Bonds of the Order

David Jordan,
Provincial Prior
